She's the brains behind the gorgeous and youthful, Pretty Dresses in the Laundry. Kate Nutting talks all things blogging and fashion.

1. How would you describe your blog and the content you share?

I would say it is just me - my blog is just a culmination of everything that's going on in my life.

2. Why did you start blogging?

I fell into blogging when I was 15. A friend of mine started a blog and even though I thought it was completely dumb, I started one anyway to be like her and I was instantly hooked!

3. What do you hope your readers and followers get out of the content you share?

Haha, I don't know, I've never really thought about it. I guess I would hope they're getting a bit of enjoyment and inspiration out of reading it.

4. What does fashion mean to you?

Fashion to me is a creative outlet, it's means of expressing myself and having fun.

5. What does blogging mean to you?

Blogging is my life! I honestly don't know where I would be if little 15-year-old me hadn't started a blog up. My life would be entirely different, I'm sure of that. Blogging is my outlet, my fun, creative space. It's so much more than just a hobby for me.

6. How would you say the influence of social media has changed the way we view fashion? Is it a positive or negative change?

It has changed it completely! Social media has democratised fashion entirely and made the industry accessible to absolutely everyone. I think it's definitely a positive change.

7. What is a piece of advice you would give to past self when you first started your blog?

Just get started, start posting whatever you want, be unique and don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

8. What has been the highlight of your blogging career?

The whole thing has been a highlight - I have met the most incredible people, had the most amazing opportunities and worked on the most amazing things. I guess if I had to narrow it down, maybe Fashion Week.

9. What advice would you give to young girls looking to start a blog?

My biggest piece of advice would be to just start, and to be yourself! The online world is so saturated today, which is good and bad. Just put yourself out there, join the club and engage, and post whatever you want.

10. Who are your style inspirations? And why?

Honestly, Instagram is just one big inspiration pot for me - in a way that magazines never were. Pinterest as well. At the moment I have a huge girl crush on Lindsey Rem, I'm so obsessed with everything she does and wears. So probably her!

11. What would you say about to future of the fashion industry and especially blogging and digital media?

I think it's going to undergo massive change - this industry isn't stagnant and we've been stopped on the whole bursts-of-content Instagram thing for a while. Who knows what the future is going to be though! I think we will probably see a move back to more long-form content, just not in such a traditional sense like we have seen before!

Much love,
